Terms of Service

The rules of using this website and the consulting services we offer. Written in plain English.

Effective date: 1 May 2026 · Last updated: 1 May 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using this website (latviaresidence.com), by submitting a contact form, by downloading our handbook, or by engaging our consulting services, you accept these Terms of Service. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website or the services.

2. Who we are

The website and the consulting services are operated by SIA "Las Palmas", a Latvian limited liability company, registration number 42103079906, registered at Rietumkrasta iela 2-11, Liepāja, LV-3416, Republic of Latvia. References in these terms to "we", "us", or "our" mean SIA "Las Palmas". References to "you" mean the user of the website or the client receiving services.

3. What we do

We provide information and consulting services related to the Latvian investor residence permit programme codified in Article 23 of the Latvian Immigration Law (Imigrācijas likums). Our consulting service includes:

4. What we do NOT do

We are not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice. All legal services in relation to your residence permit application — including the drafting of the shareholder agreement, the filing of your application with the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (OCMA), and any representation in legal proceedings — are provided by Mārtiņš Grīnbergs, sworn advocate of the Latvian Bar, under a separate engagement letter that you sign directly with him.

We do not provide tax advice. We do not provide investment advice. We do not provide immigration advice for any jurisdiction other than the Republic of Latvia.

5. Eligibility

To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract. Children under 18 may be included in a family application made by their parent or legal guardian.

6. No guarantee of approval

Residence permits are issued at the sole discretion of the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (OCMA) of the Republic of Latvia. We do not, and cannot, guarantee that any application we file will be approved.

We pre-screen all applicants and we have a strong track record of approval — but we cannot promise an outcome that is not ours to decide. If an application that we have filed is refused, we will work with you to understand the reasons and, where possible, to refile. We do not refund the state fees (which have been paid to OCMA and the Latvian state budget) or the share capital subscription (which has been paid into SIA "Las Palmas") in the event of refusal.

7. Fees and payments

The full, current fee structure is published on the homepage of this website. We do not charge any fee that is not published there. The fees include:

All payments are made by bank transfer to identified recipient accounts. We do not accept cash. We do not accept cryptocurrency. We do not accept payments from accounts not held in the applicant's own name.

8. The €1 share buyback

The €50,000 subscribed by you into the share capital of SIA "Las Palmas" is repurchased by the company for €1 (one euro) at the end of your engagement with the company — typically at year five, when permanent residence is secured. This is disclosed in the shareholder agreement you sign before paying. In economic terms, the €50,000 is the price of the residence, not a refundable investment. By engaging our services you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted this structure.

9. Document review and refusal

Before we accept payment, we review your full document package — including your source-of-funds file. If we determine that the file is unlikely to meet OCMA standards, or that the source of funds cannot be documented to the standard required by Latvian anti-money-laundering law, we will refuse the engagement. We will refund any deposit we have received from you at that point. This is a feature of the service, not a fault — we would rather lose a client than file an application we know will fail.

10. Intellectual property

The content of this website — including the text, the layout, the design, the photographs (subject to their underlying licences), and the downloadable handbook — is the intellectual property of SIA "Las Palmas" or its licensors. You may read, save, and share the content for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit the content without our prior written permission.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Latvian law:

12. Termination

You may terminate your engagement with us at any time by giving us notice in writing. We may terminate the engagement at any time if you fail to provide required documents, fail to pay fees when due, or breach these terms. On termination:

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Latvia. Any dispute arising from these terms or from our consulting services will be resolved by the courts of the Republic of Latvia, with exclusive jurisdiction of the Riga City Vidzeme District Court (Rīgas pilsētas Vidzemes priekšpilsētas tiesa) for first-instance proceedings.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the current version. We will notify existing clients in advance of any material change. Continued use of the website or services after a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
